Default email certificate!

thunderbird refuses to work saying that my mail certificate is wrong!?!?! It says the certificate belongs to a different site and may be identity theft...

help!

Are you using SSL in your email client? What's probably happening is that you're trying to connect to yourdomain.com. If you don't have an SSL certificate for this, it will generate an error.

What you can do is connect to the server's hostname which will have an SSL for connecting to safely - just let us know your domain name and we can give you the full hostname that you'll need to connect to to get rid of the error.

Alternatively, you can connect without SSL but this is not recommended for sensitive information.

Thanks for the quick reply...I disabled SSL and all is fine, I don't really have any super important data passing thru so I am happy as it is. I may look to change in future though :-)
